Since 1994 The Los Cenzontles Mexican Arts Center in San Pablo, California has been a leader in preserving and promoting art, dance, music and cultural traditions. The Center's classes, performances, events and outreach programs touch thousands of young people each year, and since Los Cenzontles is run by the community it serves, many of the staff and faculty have grown up with the program. Filmmaker Bio

Eugene Rodriguez formed youth group Los Cenzontles in 1989 and incorporated the Arts Center in 1994. He received a Master's degree in Classical Guitar performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1987. In 1995 he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Musical Album for Children for his production of Papa's Dream a bilingual recording with Los Lobos and Lalo Guerrero. He has produced thirteen CDs for Los Cenzontles. Additionally he produced and performed on Mexican folk group Mono Blanco's CD entitled El Mundo Se Va a Acabar on Urtext Records.

Ricardo Braojos studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica el Curso General de Estudios Cinematográficos specializing in production (1985-1989). He graduated with honorable mentions. He has worked as director, editor, script writer in more than 15 films of fiction and documentaries. including ¿Samuel?(1990), Tajín(1992) Dies Solis:Estudios para una Ultima Cena(1993), which screened at the 45a. Exposición Internacional de Arte de la Bienal in Venice, Italy, Memoria en la piedra(1993), Tiempo Lunar(1995), México Antiguo(1995), Vamos a dar una vueltecita(1997), Animecha Kejtsï tacua(1998), Pancho Villa and other stories(1999-) and La Leyenda(2000).
