Each day, men from various parts of Asia make a stop in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) where they embark on their search for a perfect match. Using verité footage and interviews, Match Made offers a glimpse into the intricate network of the buying and selling of women as brides from villages around Saigon.

Filmmaker Bio

Mirabelle Ang is a filmmaker, born and raised in Singapore, whose interest in social and political affairs led her towards creating documentaries. Her documentary, Match Made, has screened at venues such as the Viennale, Cinéma du Réel, Mar del Plata, Full Frame and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She received her MFA at California Institute of the Arts in 2006 and is currently based in Los Angeles, working on her next documentary.
