Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's prototypical detective comes to live in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, starring Jeremy Brett and David Burke as Holmes and Watson. The series adapts 41 of the 60 Holmes stories that Conan Doyle wrote and originally ran starting in 1984, and many fans consider Jeremy Brett's interpretation of the iconic pipe-smoking mystery solver to be the best in the countless dramatic adaptations of the stories.
