KTEH invites local schools and afterschool groups for a behind-the-scenes tour of a television station. In each field trip, students are given a tour of the television studios where they learn about different careers in broadcast and get to shoot their own PBS kids promo starring themselves. While we have all heard of fleas and dung flies, very few of us have seen them up close - and we mean really up close! The photos were taken by scientific photographer Steve Gschmeissner, from Bedford, using a Scanning Electron Microscope, which not only magnifies imags by a million times, but also, builds them up in 3D. In case you are wondering, the picture above is the head of a honey bee!
