KTEH invites local schools and afterschool groups for a behind-the-scenes tour of a television station. In each field trip, students are given a tour of the television studios where they learn about different careers in broadcast and get to shoot their own PBS kids promo starring themselves. Surfing is one of the most addictive sports in the world. It is also, amongst the most restrictive - For not only do you need to live close to an ocean, but also, have ample free time to hang around for that perfect wave - Unless of course, you are Tarp Surfing!
On July 25th, over 3,900 students from Utah's Brigham Young University got together to stage the World's biggest water balloon fight. Armed with 120,021 water-filled balloons, which took over three days to fill, the students pelted each other for a full six minutes, handily breaking the previous record of 119,000 balloons held by University of Kentucky.
